A talented jazz disciple on saxophone living with his divorced music schoolteacher dad, seven year-old Kamasi Lawson’s life changes when the winsome tigress Jasmine Hǔ moves next door with her widowed academic mother in his New Haven, Connecticut neighbourhood, it’s practically love at first sight for the young African-American rabbit!

Discovering that she’s a highly-accomplished classical pianist, he tries to understand Jasmine’s melodic, if sheltered world from her semi-isolationist mom. Trying to adjust to their new home after a life out in California, Jasmine finds herself equally attracted to her neighbour and fellow musician while fine-tuning her skills as a concert pianist virtuoso.

Growing up together as super-tight best buds and schoolmates, their quiet and respectfully unspoken romance starts to become more intense in their teenage years to the point where jealousies, mutually (unknown) secret acts of voyeurism and lust-filled sexual fantasies are their only conduit to keep their true feelings under wraps from everybody and even themselves.
